A writer, a music teacher, a "homeless chick", and a park bench. Cult legend, writer Jack Clench, is an underground hero, and an overground celebrity, for his murder novel "Paint By Numbers". However, that was many years ago and his publishers are ready for a new bestseller. Now, with a deadline coming up, he has nothing to present. David Ledge, has spent years bringing a spectacular music program to inner city students, But funding is short and the arts are the first to go.
